Jailbreaking 3G Questions

Hey guys just need to know a few things i jailbreak my iphone and things stop working lets say signal or home button ect..
Would i be able to un jailbreak and return it back how it was before i jailbroke? and would they work then??

Also should i backmy iphone up first?

This depends on what you mean "back how it was before". What's the current iOS installed on the phone? What iOS do you plan on jailbreaking to? And what do you mean exactly by the signal or home button stop working? Do you anticipate your home button will stop working? What do you mean by signal?

Also should i backmy iphone up first?

Backing your phone up isn't going to hurt anything, so I don't see why not.
