Thread: possible with SSH?

  1. #1
    Default possible with SSH?
    iphone 4 JB with limera1n, on 4.1
    Basically my macbook OS is 10.4.11 which is too out dated to be used with itunes ten meaning i cannot sync my iphone 4 to get contacts and all that. Is there a way i can SSH my address book straight to my phone?

  2. #2
    You can navigate to your contacts through openSSH, so I don't see why not.

    i tried dragging address book to "address book" under library>address book on cyber duck... resprung.. nothing. sorry im new so steps would be really appreciated

    I'll see if I can get it to work. Give me a sec.

    Doesn't seem to work. It's like the address book is a data entry, not a text entry. I'll keep trying to figure it out.

    @Andrew
    can you not just update OSX on your MacBook? probably much easier in the long run

    i can but its close to 200 dollars right now to get mac box set or something like that.. cause i have to first get leopard, and then snow leopard. cant go straight from 10.4 to 10.6 Ill eventually do it, but for now just need contacts

    gotcha, definitely not worth $200 for adding contacts at this point

    found a couple of retail leopard disks on eBay for $50 and you can get the snow leopard upgrade disk for $15 - $20 on eBay as well
