So,
I have iOS4 on my iPod Touch 2G (NON MC MODEL!!). I plan on upgrading to iOS 4.1 in the near future (For Game Centre, 99c TV show rentals, and for bug fixes(?).... if you must know :P)
I have a few questions though (as usual)
-1) Must i have iTunes 10 for the 4.1 FW upgrade? (btw i have the .ipsw downloaded to the desktop)
-2) What shall i use, sn0wbreeze 2 or redsn0w 0.9.6-b1 (i have access to a windows machine if sn0wbreeze is the better bet, but if redsn0w 0.9.6b-1 is better i can use a mac to do it that way...)
-3) Does sn0wbreeze enable wallpapers, battery %, and fast app switching?
-4) Does anyone know if winterboard is compatible with 4.1 FW (probably could figure this one out myself, but eh, what can i say, im too lazy )
Anyways, thanks for all the answers (in advanced!)
Restore to Custom Firmware made by Snowbreeze 2.0.2
You must have the latest Itunes
Winterboard is compatible with 4.1
Yes , snowbreeze will enable battery %.
is it fully JB compatible now? i know it was crashing when some people clicked the "Apps" tab. Do you know what causes this? is it icon support or Iconoclasm? I use the apps tab frequently...
i Have an idea to test if it will crash my iTunes
Install iTunes 10 on a VM on my mac computer and go from there..
Update: iTunes 10.0.1.22 on windows VM didn't crash when I pressed the apps tab. So I assume that it is safe to take the plunge and install iTunes 10 on the Mac?
