Exclamation Need to reset iPhone 3GS due to sale and maintain unlock & jailbreak - how to?

I want to make sure I don't screw this up. I just sold my 3GS on ebay to upgrade to a 4. It's on 4.0.2 and jailbroken using jailbreakme.com and unlocked from cydia. How can I wipe the iphone, resetting everything and either keep those things or reinstall them? I don't want it to autoupdate with iTunes and lose my unlock!

Don't do a reset, it will put your iphone into apple logo freezing mode. Delete manually if you can.

No, delete it one by one, i know it is a pain to do that. If you do a reset on the phone, you will need to restore again but you will need 4.0.2 shsh blogs.

I have 4.0.2 blobs saved. How do I use those to restore to a fresh wipe of 4.0.2?

Run Notepad as Admin , open up hosts file and add this line :
    74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
save it and reboots your pc
Now do the Shift + Restore to 4.0.2

You can also just run the TSS Server from TinyUmbrella instead of editing the host file. I say this cuz it didn't work for me and I had to run the TSS server instead.

Doesn't always work for some that's why I said. Well now there's 2 options in case one doesn't work or the other works easier.
