limera1n ipod touch 3g doesn't seem to work

I have tried countless times jailbreaking my ipod touch 3g on 4.1 and no limera1n icon has appeared on my device. I have followed the instructions exactly. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to successfully jailbreak ipod touch 3g on 4.1?

It would help to know where in the process it stops working... if you get any errors... what OS you're on... what version of iTunes you're using... if you've tried to a fresh restore first...

It doesn't stop working, there is just no limera1n icon on my home screen afterward.

Alright, so I'm not experiencing any errors as far as I know, I'm on 4.1, and I do have iTunes 10. I have not restored because my iPod is not syndced to the computer that I have tried jailbreaking on.
