Limera1n not working

i have an iphone4 in 4.1 and i have try limera1n to jailbreak it and it doesnt work, i have follow the extact steps as mentioned

please help

Did you have itunes up to date and running in the background?

before jailbreaking with limera1n,i have done a restore from backup for the contacts and etc.. from my old iphone 3gs jailbroken with spirit.is this the problem ?
i have to do a new firmware restore ?

the icon of the limera1n while jailbreaking does not appear,and iphone return form Dfu to slide to unlock screen,and no limera1n icon on my springboard,and i have a restart,and nothing new

Just do an update to the Iphone via Itunes (if you are factory unlocked). Make sure you have the latest version of Itunes also... I can't think of something else...

I just jailbreaked my iPhone 4 it will not make calls thru my ATT micro cell unit now. Turn of the 3G micro cell and it makes calls fine. Anyone else had this problem??

Ok micro cell is working now? Kinda odd. I reset the unit and phone sevral times. Also did network reset on iPhone.

I have iPhone 4 4.0.2 jb w limera1n installed themes aren't complete. Lock image no slider image. Weather icon not working either can any one tell me why?

These are the steps I did on my first and only try to jb with Limera1n with my iP4 on 4.1.

1) I shift+restored to stock 4.1 (i preserved by baseband with TU just in case I need to unlock in the future when going out of the states)
2) I then did not restore from back up or set up as new yet, I just activated thru iTunes.
3) I then ran Limera1n on it
4) phone rebooted and i got the white blank Limera1n icon
5) clicked on it and installed Cydia.
6) then went back into limera1n and selected uninstall.
7) resprang phone again then I hooked it back up into iTunes and restored from back up.

Everything was back to normal with Cydia.

Edit: I used beta 4 limera1n.

You're not retarded. It's ok to not know, these things can be complicated.

If you don't have an iP4 you can't accomplish preserving your baseband to maintain unlockability anyway.

If you do have an iPhone 4, there's a program called TinyUmbrella (TU) that has TSS server to allow iP4 users to upgrade to 4.1 stock without upgrading their basebands (if the baseband is upgraded, the unlock is lost).
