Wait for greep0ison. I the dev-team said that they were going to use his exploit. wait for them. Geo may have the better exploit, but his code sucks.

They are just going to delay it to use geohot's exploit instead of shatter. Not waiting for 4.2

whts the points launching anything now... 4.1.1 is due out this thurs or next week different things different sites.... apple will patch it.. then GP will come out I HOPE NOT.. then apple will patch that in 4.2.... play the waiting game everyone stay on 4.1 dont update... and save it for 4.2 let apple think dammmn we r loosing

Not quite correct. Limera1n uses a bootrom level exploit, which means Apple cannot patch it without updating the hardware of the device. However, the exploit by itself results in a tethered jailbreak. So, a userland exploit is used in conjunction with the bootrom exploit to make the jailbreak untethered. The userland exploit can and will be patched in the next firmware update (so back up your 4.1 SHSHs RIGHT NOW!). So, we will always be able to use limera1n to jailbreak, but the jailbreak may never be untethered again after 4.1.
