Default iPhone 4 wont update 4.1

Okay so I went to update ready for the new JB's out today/yesterday and it just wont work! I have tired downloading custom IPSW's reinstalling iTunes deleting backups and just everything else! Anyone got any tips? I'm currently downloading 4.1 on a different laptop see if that works!

    Thanks.

What exactly happens? Plug your phone into itunes and click restore? The whole process is done in itunes.

If you get an error while restoring, please post it here.

A error does not come up. It just gets stuck and the bar on my iPhone does not go up. And on iTunes it just says "Restoring iPhone Software" I left it on over night and it didn't even move!

    This also happened to me.

Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:

    1. iTunes
    2. QuickTime
    3. Apple Software Update
    4. Apple Mobile Device Support
    5. Bonjour
    6. Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)

Then reinstall itunes, plug your iphone back in and then it should work fine.

Yeap, uninstall like I said. I had exactly the same problem. Worked on another PC but not mine etc etc.
