i was unable to get a successful jailbreak.

i am stuck in DFU mode and it kept saying retry home + power.

it didnt work for me. restoring to factory settings now.

Use it at your own risk, it's buggy as hell according to GeoHotz himself. He obviously done this to try and get one over on chronic dev team.

Worked for me. iPhone 3GS running 4.0.2, never before jailbroken, old bootrom.

Might be that you're getting the timing wrong on DFU.

The easiest way I've found to enter DFU mode is from phone turned on. Hold home+power until the screen goes black, release power 2 seconds later.

Interesting. Wonder when the pile of new posts "help Limera1n bricked my phone!" will start showing up...

If I were any other user, I would wait till the official release since this is apparently a leak. It wasn't supposed come out till Monday.

I think it was an official release, but then he decided to pull the link for some reason.

But as you can see from my picture it is a "BETA". Worked fine for me though

FYI his reason for releasing it early was to get Chronic Dev Team to "do the right thing".

EDIT - Official download link is now back up. (New version is "BETA2")

working so far. installing cydia now..limereain on the phone but no cydia.

EDIT had to REBOOT phone then cydia appears on springboard.

iphone 4

4.0.2

flawless so far

edit 2 oops spoke too soon. added a repo to cydia and it failed. now cydia don't work.

Edit 3: Cydia repaired itself, all working fine now.

Omg, I was looking forward to using the SHAtter exploit with Greenpois0n. Since it's being delayed now though so that GP uses GeoHotz exploit, I'm not sure weather to use limera1n or not. I still think limera1n will be buggy, no matter if it's the one from the official site now, or if its the mirror'd download that a few people have. I guess I'll wait it out to see how this unfolds.

Well you can understand why they would be pissed off. It's pretty uncool to just drop a release 12 hours before the planned release of Greenpois0n totally out of the blue.

However I agree they are blowing it up a bit more than necessary... Talking about how people will never be able to jailbreak an iPhone 5. Cmon...
