3gS with 4.1

Just got my new 3gs today it has 4.1 (8B117) I have a mac laptop
1. so my question is?
Can i downgrade my firmware to 4.0.1, if so what software, do i use.
If not to 4.0.1..do I have to take it down to 3.xx then take up to 4.0.1

I did have my old phone 3G on 4.0.1 with cydia..but none of that will help me, on the new phone..

No you canNot unless you bought it used from sumone who had it jailbroken before and if its new ur outa luck
