Iphone 4 on 4.0.2 upgrade to 4.1 before Jailbrake?

I have a quick question and I think I know the answer but want to see what others think.

I have an Iphone 4 on 4.0.2 what I want to know should I upgrade to 4.1 before the jailbrake or should I just wait to see what happens on Sunday,

I just am worried what happens if apple only has 4.2 on itunes when I go to upgrade

U can upgrade if u want, i did. No use in not upgrading unless u need to preserve ur iphone baseband. If u need to preserve the baseband upgrade to 4.1 via tinyumbrella. Its what i did (even though i dont need an unlock!)

just save your shsh files with tinyumbrella when a new firmware comes out. your phone doesn't have to be running that firmware to save its shsh files

example. my phone is has shsh files saved for 4.0, 4.01, 4.02, 4.1 yet i have only ever had 4.0 and 4.01 running on it EVER, but if i wanted to i could go on any firmware version and revert back to a lower version because i have the shsh saved
