    Default New iPhone 4, do i have to install 4.1?

    I still have the connect to iTunes logo, is it possible to install a custom firmware or to install 4.0.1? I have no SHSH blobs as its a new phone.

    You cannot do anything without SHSHs besides upgrade to 4.1.

    If you need an unlock, don't upgrade. You'll need the official carrier's SIM to activate the phone to at least use as an iPod for now until the new jb for 4.1 is released.
