I just got a notice that says there is an update or itunes 10 already. I did not update it but now I am concerned because I screwed around and didn't update to 10..

You can update to the latest itunes 10, you will be fine because you are using custom firmware. Remember, you don't have any 3.xx shsh blogs, you must not restore to stock firmware, always stay with Custom firmware, then you will be good all the time.

Anyone else having trouble downloading the new itunes? Mine starts to download, gets to about 25 or 30 percent then freezes up??

Are you doing the online updates ? Then don't use online mode, download it as a file and install it separately.
I went to the apple site,hit download now, save and it runs to approx 25 to 30% then just freezes up.

Let me try and update mine, maybe it is your internet connection or apple server is having problem.

so wonder why mine takes forever to even change pages only in itunes, and then this download thing? hmmmmmmm works fine on every other site
