ipod touch 1g 2.2.1 What should i do first with it?

I just got my old broken ipod touch 1g(that i laid to rest, but kept its corpse as a for sentimental reasons) fixed by a friend for free. Its at firmware 2.2.1 and i want to jailbreak it, but i don't know where to start. Any information or direction will be appreciated. Thank you

Itunes atleast 8.2, hit restore to the latest which will take you to 3.1.3. Download the 3.1.2 itouch 1gen and download Redsn0w 0.9.4 to jailbreak it. That is it.
