Restoring Question

Iphone 3G 3.1.3 FW
PC Vista
Downgraded from 4.1 FW after Rock reboot issue (froze on dfu screen)
iTunes restore upgraded phone to 4.1.
Tried to restore to 3.1.3 redirecting itunes to saurik's svr, no luck.
Funny cause had just done same with a 3GS that had same prob.
Used QuickPwn to get unfrozen, then was back to 3.1.3.
Need to get contacts back to 3G.
Asking if can just restore using the back up from 4.1 FW with out losing the JB and downgrade.

With a 3G you don't have to do anything with the hosts file to restore to 3.1.3. 3G's only verify the firmware with 4.0 and up. Just download 3.1.3 for a 3G and shift+click restore to it.

Since you already had a problem that forces you to restore, you should set up as a new iPhone not from restore backup.
