emergency calls only

Ok guys i know my phone cant be unlocked due to the baseband, but i would still like to use as ipod...lolo...

I followed the guide here to go from 3.1.2 to 4.0 on 3g iphone
i downloaded 4.1 update, then installed...then used redsnow to go back to 4.0, it showed the pineapple etc....but after that its locked in emergency calls only...i followed a youtube video exactly but still stuck on that screen.....help????

Downgrade to 3.1.3 again and run Redsn0w to hactivate and jailbreak for you , point to 3.1.2 when asked to browse. You have to use tiny umbrella to kick out of recovery.
Now create a custom firmware of 4.1 from Snowbreeze 2.0.2 and restore to it.
This way your iphone will not be sitting at emergency screen.

Actually I think I was on 3.1.2 not 3.1.3 so can i restore to that?.is snowbreeze done through the phone?..Thanks so Much...Dirty
