    Default Can't put 3GS into DFU mode?

    I can't seem to put my iPhone into DFU mode. I hold Home + Power and the apple logo pops up, then after about 5 seconds it disappears as if the phone has turned off again. Then after a few more seconds the apple logo reappears. If I try to release Power and continue holding home it just does a regular boot up. If I keep holding them down it just powers off again and doesn't power up unless I release both buttons and start again.

    - EDIT never mind fixed it by finding a different method to enter DFU from phone being on instead of off.
