    Default Jailbreak replacement iphone 4.0.2

    Hi,

I have just had my iphone 4 replaced by apple!!!! as the old one died. The replacement handset is on 4.0.2, can I roll back to 4.0.1 and re-jailbreak as I had saved my 4.0.1 SHSH blobs? or are the blobs device specific?

    thanks in advance!!!!

SHSH blobs are device specific sorry. Have to wait for greenpois0n Jailbreak, hopefully in next couple of days...
Being an i can be a lot of pressure. you have to live right up to the small point.

If it's an iPhone 4 you're probably out of luck since they probably aren't sending out refurbs when it's so new. It's probably a brand new phone.

If it's a 3G/3GS you might be in luck. Check TinyUmbrella to see if it has SHSH blobs.

No just run TinyUmbrella and plug your phone in while it's turned on.

Then tick Advanced, and select each firmware 1 by 1 and click Save My SHSH. If you're lucky it will successfully grab one. If not you're out of luck.

Erm. It grabbed an SHSH for an iPod Touch 2G.

You should only be trying to grab SHSH for the model of phone that you have.

    Try iPhone 4 4.0

hmmm how'd it grab those blobs anyway? its a 3gs. tinyumbrella only has 3gs 4.0.1, any reason why there is no 4.0 and lower for 3gs?

    edit : updated tinyumbrella

You are too late for 4.0, 4.0.1 will work fine with jailbreakme.com

I just looked into the link, that was made when Apple was signing 4.0.2, so it doesn't work anymore. Apple is now signing 4.1 now. You can only downgrade to 4.0.1 if you have the required shsh blogs.
