    Default broken iPhone, Jailbreakable?

So I have done a lot of jailbreaking, from the original ipod touch to my 3G iPhone on 1.x, 2.x, and 3.x software but have not touched jailbreaking since before the 4.x release. Anyway I have the problem of my power/sleep button not working so I was wondering if anyone had any ways of jailbreaking my iphone in a way that i do not need to restart it/ever use that button. The only reason I am trying to jailbreak it is for mywi, in attempts to "tether" to my iPad. Am i correct to assume this will work? and/or are there any ways to get me to tethering without going through the jailbreaking process?

You can get tethering from your carrier but you will have to pay extra. Yes, jailbreaking will allow you to use MyWi4.0 which is a one time fee $19.95.
I cannot see how you can do the jailbreak with Power and Sleep button. What happened to those button, did your dog or cat chew it up..LoL

So what firmware is your iPhone currently on and what did you jb it with? I can get you up to 4.1 and jb without your power button if you're on 3.1.3 and jb with the right tool.

    Default Um...

So I do have tethering available with my phone, though it does not Tether to the iPad, trying to get people to buy ipads with 3G. Also I do not have it jailbroken. No nothing got to my phone, it is simply the button on the top does not do anything, it is loose and occasionally works but never long enough to turn it off.
