Likeliness of unlocking 2.10 modem

I have an iPhone 4 updated to 4.1 with 2.10 modem. Since I won't need an unlock for 8 months or so, would it be highly probable that the 2.10 modem will be unlocked within 8 months?

I would say probably, but there are no guarantees.

Actually it probably won't be unlocked. The dev-team typically unlocks only every other bootrom so there probably wont be a new one until 4.2 comes out in november.

Ya but he said within 8 months. i would bet there will be another unlock in that time period.

Oh yeah, 8 months is plenty of time. I'd be surprised if it didn't. The longest I saw an unlock to come out from a new baseband release is 3-4 months, maybe 5 (it was a while ago).
