error restore on 3g what the heck ???

so i had a 3g in front of me with 4.0.2, downgraded it to 3.1.3
but when trying to jailbreak and unlock with snowbreeze 1.5 and restore that ipsw with itunes, i got a error 1600 ?
why ?

You cannot use Snowbreeze, use Redsn0w 0.9.4 to jailbreak 3.1.3 and point to 3.1.2 ipsw.

actually i used resnow at first, but when i came to add bootloaders, i exited out, causes i thought bootloaders were for the 2g,

What Redsn0w version are you using ? there is no bootloader function in Redsn0w 0.9.4.

it double checked it was 9.4 and when i ran it, 3rd screen i believe poped up and ask me for bootloaders , i thought maybe i used a diddferent version but i looked , maybe i got one that really isnt 9.4
