iPad restore with itunes 10

Just so everyone knows, itunes 10 will not restore an ipad to anything but 3.2.2 firmware. I had to restore my Spirit jail broken iPad and couldn't restore to anything but 3.2.2. So..Ii now can't jailbreak until iOS 4 drops. Ugh.

If I'm wrong...please, let me know!

What exactly did iTunes tell you when you tried to restore? Do you have your shsh blobs on file with Cydia and your host file changed to point to saurik's server?

Yes, I have my blobs saved, but no ideas what you mean about host file. Im gradually learning more & more about jail breaking.

Check to make sure that the firmware file you have downloaded is for the iPad and not the iPod.

i suggest getting umbrella, requesting for your blobs, start TSS server adn then restore in itunes

Ummm....what? I can do the technical stuff, just haven't heard anything like that yet. I just need instructions. Google it?

Google Tiny Umbrella or Firmware Umbrella and download it. Then READ the README file. The developer gives every possible instruction needed in it.
