iPhone 3GS - Can I upgrade?

Situation:

iPhone 3GS
Blobs for 3.1.3, 4.0 and 4.0.1. Currently on 3.1.3. Already Jailbroken.
New bootrom

Can I upgrade to 4.1 using sn0wbreeze or redsn0w? I need an unlock.

No do not upgrade to 4.1 you will lose unlock. I would stay at 3.1.3 or go to 4.0.1 cuase you can still unlock that.

You will need to use tinyumbrella to restore to 4.0.1, just google how to restore using tinyumbrella.

You won't need to use (and actually can't on a new bootrom phone) redsn0w or sn0wbreeze. Just use TinyUmbrella'a TSS server to restore to a stock 4.0.1 via iTunes (like fc97accord says above), afterwards, use jailbreakme.com then ultrasn0w and you should be golden.
