iPhone 4. Should I upgrade?
Hi guys just got my iPhone 4 32gb (finally). It's locked to Vodafone Malta but I dont mind as they are the only carrier I will EVER use in Malta so ultrasn0w is a no-need for me.
My question is, I have 4.0.2 and since I can't save any SHSH blobs for that version, should I still upgrade to 4.1 or just leave it on 4.0.2 since no one has said anything about a future jailbreak?

I would stay on 4.0.2 for now so I can unlock for future resale, but other than that reason I would just upgrade to 4.1

There is currently no jailbreak for 4.0.2 and 4.1, but the baseband for the 4.0.2 is unlockable and the 4.1 is not.
So for future for resale I would unlock and sell at a higher price, but if that is not an issue with you then I would just upgrade and wait for the jailbreak to come.

The only real gain you get from 4.1 is HDR photos and GameCenter, and they both aren't worth the upgrade in my honest opinion. The HDR photos look over exposed, and the GameCenter is pointless. So I would keep it on 4.0.2, just to be on the safe side regarding the baseband. Though if you are sure you won't need the unlock ever, then there's no harm upgrading to 4.1. Hope this helps!

I'd actually use TinyUmbrella to upgrade (via restoring an IPSW and starting over from scratch then restoring from backup) to 4.1 on the iPhone 4.
It's the best of both worlds, you'll both get to keep your baseband (01.59.00) and get the upgrade (and actually get blobs on file with Cydia as well).
