need help 3gs, 4.1 jailbreak snow 2.0 ?

got a 3gs here, trying to jailbreak it with snowbreeze 2.0 getting error 1600 , ect.
thought this was suppose to work on 4.1 according to them, am i missing something ?

also answer this cause its confuses me, for snowbreeze 2.0 , under guidlines, it says 3gs new bootrom only if running 3.1.2, i dont understand cause if you had 3.1.2 then you wouldnt be needing to unlock 4.1 , right ???

You can do it with the new bootrom but you have to downgrade then upgrade, jailbreakme.com doesn't give access to use a custom firmware but the one for 3.1.2 does

as best as I can tell, the jailbreaks for 3.1.2 (redsn0w and blackra1n) jailbreak at a lower level than Spirit and Jailbreakme do, that is why you need be on 3.1.2 for it to work

And if you don't know how to ssh into your iphone, transfer some files and executing some commands, I advise you not to do it...LoL

it's easy to mess your phone up if you delete or modify the wrong thing so unless you know a little about what you are doing follow yeow202's advice and do not do it

There is a problem with jailbreakme.com, it's doesn't enable the use of custom firmwares, to enable this you must downgrade to 3.1.2 use blackra1n/blacksn0w? Then upgrade to custom firmware 4.1, the point is that you get multitasking and HDR photos and gamecenter

I wouldn't try it, but I believe it could work from a new bootrom 3GS if it was jailbroken with redsn0w or blackra1n. You would however end up with a tethered 4.1 jailbreak.

I'm hearing that it works the only problem is that the phone app is gone or doesn't work

So it would become an iTouch on 4.1 lol
