Plz Help For iphone 3g jailbreak

i bought new i phone 3g and i want to jailbreak it.
Firmware version 4.0.2 is installed in the phone.and phone is
unlocked also.i'm new with iphone plz guide me how can i jailbreak my iphone.i'm using windows xp.

Is it factory unlock ? You can downgrade to 3.1.3, do the shifit + restore to 3.1.3 and use tiny umbrella to kick it out of recovery when error 1015 pops up.
Once you are at 3.1.3, jailbreak with Redsn0w 0.9.4 and point to 3.1.2 ipsw which you have to download.
Once jailbroken, you can use snowbreeze 2.0 to create 4.1 and then do the shift + restore to snowbreeze_4.1. ipsw.

Requirements:
1) 3.1.2 stock ipsw
2) Redsn0w 0.9.3
3) Recboot

Steps:
1) open iTunes
2) set phone in DFU mode (hold power and home button when phone is OFF, until the apple logo shows, release power button and hold home button until iTunes detects phone in DFU mode. You'll get a pop up from iTunes).
3) hold shift and click restore
4) select the 3.1.2 ipsw
5) let iTunes restore phone
6) upon receiving error 1015 (or any variation of), open Recboot to kick phone out of recovery mode
7) phone should reboot to emergency call screen
8) open Redsn0w 0.9.3
9) select the same 3.1.2 ipsw
10) select "Cydia"
11) continue and follow the on-screen prompts
12) you should then be jailbroken on 3.1.2

If you want to get back to 4.1, download Sn0wbreeze 2.1. Create a custom fw with a stock 4.1 ipsw. Go to iTunes and set phone into DFU again and do the shift+restore to the CUSTOM 4.1 ipsw you just created. Let it restore and you should be done and JB.

Some 3G users have experienced problems using Sn0wbreeze. If you can't use Sn0wbreeze, your only option is to stay on 3.1.2 (or 3.1.3 but they are basically the same thing).

all data in iphone like contacts and messsages or other settings will lost?
if yes then how can i backup these data first.

You'll want to set up your phone as new so you'll lose some things. Back up your photos to your computer, back up your contacts in either Microsoft Outlook, Google contacts, or something of your choice to which you can sync back to your phone. Messages I don't know how to save as they're part of the back up saving from iTunes. Apps and music you can always sync back since they're stored in iTunes.

i downloaded twice from different posts but in the zip file there is no ipsw file these files are shown in the zip file.Plz gimme the post link which contains ipsw file.

It's not where you download from, it's what you download with. Use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome to download. Internet Explorer will mess it up.

Its Giving an error while restoring after extracting software and verifying iphone restore with apple its giving a error."The i phone could not be restored an unknown error occurred(3194)
And its iphone 3gs.

Are you restoring to 3.1.2? If you don't have your SHSHs, that's the error it gives (but for 4.0 and up).

sorry for that.i though its a 3g but when i downloaded the firmware of 3g its not supported.now plz tell me there is no way to jailbreake 3gs?

If it's a 3GS you'll need SHSHs to downgrade.

If you didn't get your 4.0.1 SHSHs before 08/19 then you can't get them anymore. I doubt you have them if you don't know what they are.

Check with TinyUmbrella to see anyway. It wouldn't hurt to try.

Go Google TinyUmbrella, install it, click advanced options, select "iPhone 3GS 4.0.1" and click Save SHSH and see if it succeeds. If it doesn't succeed and tells you it's too late, you don't have SHSHs to downgrade.
