This may seems just a post about another noob crying about the jailbreak, but I'm getting really impatient about the iPhone 4, 4.1 jb! I know the dev teams are hard at work and I am /very/ thankful, but in the short time that I've had to use a stock iPhone (a little over a week), it has made me realise that iPhones really suck if they aren't jailbroke. I mean, there is just so much more a jailbreak gives you, and I feel like the iPhone is useless without it! Let me know your opinions, do you think an unjailbroken iPhone is poor too?

ive been using my iphone 4 for more then a month now with no jailbreak and i was a really heavy jailbreak user so stop complaining (but at the same time im tempted 2 join u)

I would disagree, jailbreaking an iPhone makes it ten times better than what it comes with. There is just so much more you can do with it, things to make life easier like a quick-reply text tweek etc, not to mention winterboard so your not stuck with ugly stock icons. Anyone who doesn't jailbreak their iPhone is missing out big time.

Back on topic, I just got my iP4 a week ago. Yeah I miss my JB, but it's still a killer phone. It's not as bad as you describe it to be (like it's so worthless without a JB lol). It's still to me 10x's better than a Droid even without being JB. With a JB tho...I gotta say this phone will smash any new phone releases just like it's been doing since its release.

I would love a JB for my 4.0.2 phone any time soon, but I'm still happy with a stock iP4.

Jailbreaking only makes a great phone even better. If you dont think so you arent using the iPhone nowhere near its capabilities. Better SMS app, Lock Info, Themes, i could go on and thats just some of the visual things you can change.

Well I have tmobile so the iPhone is definately not worth having without a jailbreak =D

But even with a factory unlocked iPhone I wouldn't keep it very long without a jailbreak. Why? Because I would get bored of it as i do with all the other phones I've owned. With jailbreaking, there is something new all the time to keep me entertained.
So if this means I shouldn't own an iPhone then I guess I've been breaking the rules for the past 2 years by owning one.

I thought I'd die of boredom too if I didn't have a JB iPhone. It's not so bad. You find ways to entertain yourself. I found a bunch of nifty free apps in the App Store that I normally don't go through because when my phone before was JB I would be surfing thru Cydia instead.

Once you have tasted the advantages of a jailbroken iphone, it's hard to go back to stock. I had my jailbroken 3GS on 3.0 OS until 4.0 came out. That's a year, but, it was jailbroken. So you live with what you can handle. Patience is a virtue. I probably won't even buy an Iphone4. Not that much better than a 3GS. I'll just wait until Iphone5...
