So Springboard has been constantly crashing for me today. When I restart my iPhone it takes 10mins to do so and then it tells me Springboard has crashed again. I have tried removing several apps, winterboard and it's themes, sbstoggles, FileViewer. Any one else have any ideas? Thanks! and sorry if I have posted this in the wrong forum, and yes I've done a search on this topic.
I would advise against backing up and restoring with pkgbackup in your case. It's something from cydia that's causing the problem. When restore from pkgbackup you'll have the same problem right back again.
Do you remember what the last thing you installed or updated was? If all else fails you could uninstall mobilesubstrate. Doing so will also uninstall everything that depends on it. Then you can reinstall all those things one by one to see what's causing the problem.
FileViewer was the lasp app I had installed, I had recently applied a new theme around the time it crashed. I have already removed the apps already however.
How exactly do you remove mobilesubstrate.
I think I'll just restore my phone, but how do you do about doing that while preventing a update. I hear something about holding the **** key while clicking, or do you need to do something in Cydia first.
