    Default is it possible to jailbreak & unlock 3GS 4.0.1

    Hey guys.. i just bought a white 3GS from someone. The model is MC144C, and its on firmware 4.0.1. The baseband is 05.13.04

    I was wondering if this phone can be jailbroken and unlocked? If so can someone just point me to some link. I tried looking around but I could not find anything trustable so I just wanted someone's opnion

    Yes, easily. First , turn off your autolock. From Safari on your iphone , go to jailbreakme.com and choose Jailbreak 2.0 and do the Slide to jailbreak. Unlock with Ultrasn0w from Cydia.

    exactly what yeow said...very easily jailbreakable..only the newest fw has issues
