New Iphone 3gs Cant seem to unlock/jail

Hi

I used to have a iphone 2g and unlocked/jail it way back in the days of 3.1

I just got an iphone 3gs from the store and am running 4.1.. i cant seem to find any information on how to unlock/jail it using windows...

i keep hearing greenpos0n being mentioned...do i need to wait for that before i can unlock?? any help would be ace thanks

I am in the same boat, we are in for a long long wait. 4.1 forced 3gs owners into the new baseband 5.14.02. Even if greenpoison can provide a 4.1 jailbreak - an unlock for the new baseband will take a good while longer. At least this is what I understand.

snowbreeze will be releasing a jailbreak for 4.1 tomorrow, according to web articles. 3gs owners on the new baseband are screwed though, so we have to wait & see what greenpois0n will release. Oh and dont try downgrading with customer firmwares, the baseband can not, under any known means, be downgraded.

Sn0wbreeze will probably only work if you've been jailbroken before on 3GS old boots and not for new boots and iP4. You'll likely have to wait for the Greenpois0n jb.

Edit: that and the JB method before cannot be jailbreakme. So technically you'd have to have had 3.1.x jailbroken with either Blackra1n, redsn0w, pwnagetool, basically non userland JB, to be able to use sn0wbreeze to JB 4.1.
