3g 4.0 jb and unlocked no sim issue ?

i have iphone 3g here, jailbroke it with redsnow, and unlocked it with ultrasnow but keeps saying no sim anyways ?
help ?
baseband is 5.14.02 if that makes a difference ?
i just need to get it unlocked and im done with this one, thanks all

That baseband cannot be unlocked, you must have updated to 4.1 at some point.

suprised there isnt a way to downgrade the baseband, i read somewhere someone was saying you could with tinyumbrealla ? but what ya think

Nope tiny umbrella cannot downgrade baseband. There is a very small chance you have a 5.8 bootloader iphone 3G which the baseband can be downgraded. Search for and install fuzzyband in cydia and that will tell you if you can or not.

did a search in cydia for fuzzyband doesnt pull it up only pulls up fuzzynauts

It is in my cydia. Refresh your sources and try again, just search for fuzzy and fuzzyband should come up.

no iv refreshed and tried redownloading bogbosses packages. but its still doesnt pull up fuzzyband, its does on my own 3g, so i know its gotta be something to do with getting the packages, but iv tried everything i can figure out, any other suggestions ?

i got it , i guess the packages werent sinking at this time, they finally did after 20 attemps. got it , its not able to downgrade baseband,

Fuzzyband doesn't support the new baseband, it won't downgrade even if the bootloader is 5.08. Fuzzyband is being tested/worked on for the new baseband right now but it hasn't been released yet. I'm sorry but you are stuck at this point.

It doesn't matter now. It was just for him to see if he had 5.8 bootloader or not, but he doesn't.
