Ive been trying to jailbreak my phone all day!!!! I went to the jailbreak me website and it said my version was to new, since then ive been trying to downgrade from 4.02 with no luck. Everytime I try to restore it in itunes it says verifying restore with itunes and it says error, can someone please help

You CANNOT downgrade your firmware from 4.0.2 unless you had 4.0 or 4.0.1 and backup up your shsh blobs with cydia or tinyumbrella

Google, download, and run TinyUmbrella in order to find out if the shsh blobs are saved on Cydia or not if you are uncertain.
