wasnt seeing much online, what do i need to do to jailbreak first gen iphone with 3.1.2
will jailbreakme work or do i need to do another method, im new to this kinda, thanks

Don't use Jailbreakme.com, it won't unlock for you and you cannot use Ultrasn0w.
Follow this guide to hactivate, jailbreak and unlock for you from Emergency Screen.

The above guide says 3.1.3, you can jailbreak at your newly restored 3.1.2 too.
Things to download while running redsn0w
Bootloader BL 3.9 and 4.6
3.1.2 ipsw
Redsn0w 0.9.4
Make sure you check the Unlock and do not check already pwned.
