Question about upgrading 3GS to 4.0 (unlock/jailbreak)

I have two iPhone 3GS's, both are ALREADY jailbroken and unlocked using jailbreakme.com = Cydia + ultrasn0w

1st iPhone 32GB
OS - 3.1.3(7E18)
Modem Firmware - 05.12.01
Bootrom - [iBoot-359.3]


2nd iPhone 16GB
OS - 4.0(8A293)
Modem Firmware - 05.13.04
Bootrom - [iBoot-359.3]

I don't have SHSH blobs for either of these, only the latest 4.1 as these were never jailbroken or touched before.

I read that you can unlock/jailbreak 4.1 IF you have the old bootroom, which it appears I do, is this possible? If so, please link me to a guide!


If not, I want to atleast get the 3.1.3 to 4.0, is that possible without SHSH Blobs saved?

there is a guides section that ios dedicated to guides for the stuff that you need.... you need to have SHSH's for 3.1.2 and then jailbreak and some other stuff is how it starts i think

yeah this.... i just decided that i would go to the link and then post it on here just in case that you had a bit of a problem finding it.... but i would say that this is better info than i post the first time, but that is just coming from me..... i will edit this more when i get home and type a bit more later.... have fun for right now

alright i am back.... but as i was saying, and plus for the guy that is below my post, just do what he says, but the guides section is pretty nice, you should visit it.... it doesnt bite or anything so it wouldnt hurt.... but that is just me, i have gone there and it is pretty nice, its almost like it is there to help

The first Iphone, I can get you to 4.0, jailbreak your 3.1.3 with with Spirit, make sure you do not use Itunes 9.2, it won't work, use Itunes 9.1 to jailbreak your 3.1.3 first, then go to Cydia, and install Spirit2pwn ( you have to google search for the repo to install ).
Once you have installed Spirit2pwn, now you can create a custom firmware of iOS 4.0 and restore your iphone to that CFW.
