Updating Firmware

Hi guys, I'm currently using firmware 3.1.3 but I want to upgrade to 4.0. I have already jailbroken my ipod touch 3g, and according to cydia it has SHSH blobs for 4.0 and 4.0.2. But when I try to update to 4.0 (using Itunes) I get 3194 error. Does anyone know how I can upgrade to 4.0?

You have to edit your hosts file with Notepad to point to Cydia, add this line to your hosts file :
74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
Save it, reboot your pc
Do the Shift + Restore to 4.0 ipsw.
