Unknown error 1611 on ipod touch 3g, help?

I decided to go from 3.1.3 to 4.0 on my iPod Touch 3G by using shift+click on restore in itunes and using the original 4.0 firmware i got from felixbruns.

My ipod wont come out of DFU/recovery mode and when i try the restore/update to 4.0, i get the Unknown error 1611 message. I have nearly convinced myself i have bricked my ipod... Any help will be apreciated

Well, I found a solution! So if you cannot restore to iOS 4.0 or above, the easiest thing to do is to make sure you have itunes 10 or above.

Itunes 9.2 and above is good. To get out of Recovery mode, if doing a Hard reset doesn't help, then download tiny Umbrealla, and there is a function kick out of recovery.
