Help with 3g!!? Disconnects when restoring!
Hey my friend brought his 3g to try and fix but everytime I try to restore with Itunes it connects and disconnects. The farthest I get to in DFU mode is Preparing Iphone for restore and I hear "DA DO" meaning that the usb connection stopped for some reason. Then it usually goes to white screen of death and pops up with error 23. Anyway to fix this? All answers welcome.

Sounds like the dock is dirty or damaged.
Or try using a different cable.The only thing I ask in return for helping, is that you click the thanks button, Thanks!

I have tried on many computers so if the dock is damaged, what part do I need to order? I am comfortable in disassembling and reassembling phones. Just the dock assembly should fix it right??

I looked at a couple forums and it seems they just took apart and put back together their phone.
It looks like their is something loose in the Connector.
