Iphone 2g internet problem

I gave my old iphone 2g edge to my brother who had a backflip before. I unlocked it using redsnow so he could use his sim in it. He had internet on his old phone but now it says he has no internet on the iphone. any help?

hes also on at&t already not another provider

Check in settings under network if you have a cellular data network tab. If so see if there is an apn in there or not.

there isnt any apn setting only a vpn which i dont think is the right thing. it says he isnt even subscribed to a data service which isnt true

So there isnt a "Cellular Data Network" there then? I am not in US so unsure if there is supposed to be one for AT&T or not. Hopefully someone with more knowledge of them can help.

Do you need to unlock if he's on an ATT sim?
I have never heard that.

well i didnt think so either but when i put his sim in it said it wasnt made for an iphone so thats why i had to unlock it and such. and i didnt use bootneuter not even sure what that is ha

Ok, the only unlock for iPhone 2G is Bootneuter. (as far as i know)
