iPhone 3GS refuses to upgrade to 4.0.1
When I noticed the new jailbreakme method I decided I was going to upgrade my phone from 3.1.3 to 4.0.1 and then jailbrake it. I downloaded the iwsp, specifically iPhone2,1_4.0.1_8A306_Restore.ipsw, hit Control+Update and selected the ipsw. After about 2 minutes it gives me an error stating that my device isn't authorized to use the update.
How do I fix this; is there anything I'm doing wrong?

First question...did you save your 4.0.1 SHSH?
If the answer is no, then there will be no second question.

Hey i have a similar problem to this but I get error message 13? i have my shsh blobs saved but now my phone is stuck in DFU mode?? i dont know what to do :S
