springboard keeps crashing

Hi

I need help... my jailbroken iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.0 all of a sudden is stuck in this cycle of Springboard crashing and entering safe mode. I thought it might be because I downloaded a new app from Cydia, findmyI, because it started soon after that, but even after I deleted that app it still is crashing. Then I tried deleting the most recent other apps I downloaded and it still kept crashing. I'm at the point where I've deleted most of my Cydia apps, including winterboard and its themes and Sbsettings but I still am having it crash everytime I try to restart or reboot. It was working fine before which makes me think it must have been something recent, but I deleted almost all my cydia apps and I really don't want to have to delete the rest. I tried installing crash reporter but it refuses to identify any suspects in its crash reports. Anyone have any ideas??
