Completely bricked iPhone 4, what can I do?
So, yesterday I jailbroke my iPhone 4 for the second time (I previously jailbroke and then restored later). After I got on Cydia, it told me there were updates to install so I let it update and then my phone restarted. After this it would not boot past the Apple logo. I put the phone in recovery mode and restored with iTunes, and it seemed to be working, but something went wrong when it got to the "Updating device firmware" stage near the end. It said the update could not continue, and quit. Now every time I try to restore it quits near the start due to Error 23. When I look at the error log this is at the end:
iTunes recognizes the phone but says there is no SIM installed and so won't activate the phone. When I boot it up normally it takes a minute or two and then goes to a "Connect to iTunes" screen, that says my IMEI and ICCID are unknown. I've tried restores from DFU mode, different SIM cards, nothing works. Am I screwed, or will Apple fix it? Radio error makes me think something possibly went wrong when it was restoring the modem firmware.2010-08-25 23:04:22.750 [1336:1308]: iBoot build-version = iBoot-889.24

I have tried both 4.0.1 and 4.0.2, and I even tried 4.0.1 with my hosts file redirected to Saurik's server. I feel like I've tried everything...

Have you tried...
clearing out Sauriks server in your host
turn off the phone (force if you have to HOME+POWER 10 secs)
hold down HOME button than plug phone into computer (usb cable)
factory restore... than once you are activated, go to jailbreakme.com?Nothing beats the iPhone.

You need to try a DFU Mode restore. There are a ton of youtube videos on how to enter DFU mode.

Did you close iTunes after you removed Sauriks server?
Nothing beats the iPhone.

I reinstalled it at some point soon after removing the server.
