downgrading itunes problem

I am trying to restore my phone thru itunes. I have dl 4.0 firmware from dl section. when i shift and click restore it is looking for a ipsw file. The firmware that i get does not have one in it to pick. What am i doing wrong

its downloading it as a .zip file

rename the .zip to .ipsw

It should look something like this after renaming.
iPhone2,1_4.0_8A293_Restore.ipsw
