Ok, I am a complete nard......is there any ETA on a jailbreak for 3gs on 4.0.2? I bought an iphone off of someone and he reset it back to factory settings and now is on 4.0.2 new bootrom, never been jailbroken, so no shsh blobs or cydia. REally I could care less about the jailbreaking stuff, all I want is to use the phone like normal, but this phone was a Bell provider and mine is Rogers. If I am able to unlock without jailbreaking, then awesome!!!! Any suggestions?

Well, first of all, there probably won't be a 4.0.2 jailbreak, the dev team is probably gonna wait for 4.1, which is rumored to drop in September. (which it almost certainly will) Without a jailbreak, you won't be able to unlock that phone. The only way to unlock without a jailbreak is to have the carrier officially unlock it, and sadly no Canadian carriers offer that
