Confused?????
This is probably just me making some silly mistake, but need help with it!

i recently had the iphone 3g, and successfully jailbroke it on the firmware 3.1.3.... since then it broke, so sent it back and got a new replacemnt..
now, this new iphone has a newer firmware, 05.13.04..
i found the programme needed to jailbreak this firmware -redsn0w 0.9.5 ( is this correct?)...
i also found a step by step guide, telling me i need to download a file called ios 4.0 which should be a ipsw file, right?
well, ive downloaded the file, but there is no ipsw file to use when running redsn0w...
so now i am at a loose end!
this is more than likely a silly mistake ive made, or something you lot can easily do, but this ones got me stumped lol.
any help will be greatly appreciated!
& the sooner the better, i wanna get creating my own iphone!

if you downloaded the ipsw with Internet Explorer or safari then I probably got saved as a zip file (internet explorer) or unpacked (safari), if it got saved as a zip then just change .zip to .ipsw, if it got unpacked then you will need to download it again with firefox or chrome

05.13.04 is not the firmware number, that is the baseband number, here is a link for the iphone 3g 4.0 ipsw
ModMyi Forums - Downloads - iPhone 3G 4.0In the end we're all just chalk lines on the concrete, drawn only to be washed away. For the time that I've been given, I am what I am.
