I blew it ... BIG time .... Please Help
First of all I am sorry if this is the incorrect area for this thread ... but my frustration with myself is great.
I successfully downgraded my 3gs phone from 4.0.2 to 4.0.1 (was easy) I installed an app called categories to organize apps. I really screwed up everything (I know the app warns against using it without understanding it). Now I have an iphone that "appears to be blank (all apps are hidden) including the categories app so I can't unhide
.
I need a way to fix this situation I have gotten myself into, either a work around to the hidden categories app or restore my JB iphone to its status b4 my screw(4.0.1 and JB)up with categories.
Some additional info that may help you to help me:
I JB using jailbreakme.com
I have the shsh's backed up on my pc with tinyumbrella
Thanks in advance
Hal

Launch sbsettings and click the more button. See what's hidden there.

Swipe your hand along the top bar with the clock and sbsettings will hopefully come down.
If I somehow helped you, press thanks

Swipe to the right while your on the first page of springboard. It'll bring up spotlight search. Search for and launch categories. Then unhide your icons.

Sorry ... but I did not at least not that I remember

Since I have the shsh on my PC I went back to 4.0.2 and am trying to again downgrade to 4.0.1 (a friends suggestion) and figured I could again JB the phone ... but am having difficulty doing so.
I found several step by steps on how to all say follow exactly and each are different
About to wait for the solution to JB 4.0.2 (but would prefer not to!
Again thank for the help sop far and in advance for future assistance!

afaik there will be no jailbreak solution for 4.0.2, maybe for 4.1 in September (keep your fingers crossed) but not 4.0.2, just repeat exactly what you did the first time you successfully restored from 4.0.2 to 4.0.1

openssh, sbsettings, and biteSMS are the first 3 I always install, after that it's really up to you, multifl0w is pretty sweet though

sbsettings and winterboard are the first you should install.
dont install OpenSSH, unless you know how to change the root password
