4.0.2 to 3.1.3 on 3G iPhone?

Hi,

I had upgraded my phone to 4.0.1 and then jailbroke it. It started acting really weird. Big slow downs. So I restored it back and it put 4.0.2 on it.
Is there anyway I can go back to 3.1.3 from here?

Yes a 3G can be downgraded to 3.1.3 without any problem. Just download 3.1.3 and shift+click restore.

I tried that for 2 hrs last night and when I hit shift and clicked restore the box came up and I pointed it to where the 3 files I downloaded were all different downloads of 3.1.3 and even a 3.1.2 and it wouldn't see the file. So I'm not sure if it's iTunes or why it wouldn't reconize the file.

Anyone have any idea why iTunes would not see the file?

If memory serves, there should be a drop down box on the bottom right hand corner when you go to select the firmware. I believe you need to flip it to the .ipsw extension. You should be able to select the firmware from there.

I read in another post it may be windows not saving the right file type. I'm gonna try that when I get home today... Thanks will reply when I try it...
