Ok i have an iphone 4s i saved the shsh blobs on my iphone 4s using tiny umbrella(i just saved them with device running ios 6.1.2 incase that matters) now i am wondering if i can downgrade from ios 6.1.3 back down to ios 6.1.2 with these blobs or are they useless?
thanks any help would be really appreciated.
p.s. trying to figure out asap i want to get ios 7 beta but not if it is going to stop me from downgrading back to a jailbreakable ios release.

is there any way to restore my jailbroken iphone 4s. ios 5.0.1.
but seems i don't have shsh blobs.
already google'd it but stitching doesn't work on my 4s
i just want to restore it to 'new' iphone 4s 5.0.1 and normally upgrade it to 6.1.2 (not jailbreak it i think for now)

Won't be able to go to 6.1.2 you would have to go to 6.1.3 for that device
08-15-2013, 04:59 AM #1432
but how can i restore it on the first hand?
thanks for the reply anyway

You wanna update to 6.1.3?
08-15-2013, 05:53 AM #1434
yes. since i need it to be 'up to dated' for some reason. first i think it's better not to stick at the very end (6.1.3). but seems i don't have choice.
how can i restore it anyway? can i?

Make sure iTunes is updated. Plug ya phone up to iTunes and put ya phone in dfu mode when that's all good hold shift or option and click restore ya should be good.
08-15-2013, 06:32 AM #1436
oops sorry my bad.
i've already tried it many times. with or without dfu mode when restoring 5.0.1 with usual ipsw (4s and 5.0.1).
it seems i got error 'not eligible for this build'
i check through support.apple and do almost the solution they gave. (change the hosts ; test in bootcamp)
my itunes is up to date, mac os x .
once i tried to restore and update automatically from itunes, and the same error came. only tried it once with DFU mode, because it almost 4hrs to download it with my current isp.
sorry for not mention it before. because i think the normal way (the way you mention) already not working at all

You can't restore a 4S to 5.0.1 as 2K1 said. You would have to go to 6.1.3 and be without a jailbreak.
You can try semi-restore or iLex if you just want to wipe your phone and stay on 5.0.1.

Have tried reading some of the latest replies on this thread (Correct me if i'm wrong). However I still have some enquiries, which is whether are there any other ways to restore my current iPhone 4s with iOS 6.1 or update to 6.1.2?
I have SHSH BLOGS for 6.1 to 6.1.3 which just gotten from TSS & iFaith. Based on the readings i've understand that TSS does not do restore/update for 6.1 to 6.1.3. When go to iFaith, it rejects both my 6.1 & 6.1.2 blogs due to invalid APTickets. I guess this is because apple stop signing any iOS earlier then 6.1.3.
Therefore my current phone state is running a JBed iOS 6.1, however I am findings ways to restore it to either stay put at 6.1 or anything higher to 6.1.2 so long it remains jailbreakable. So hope to have some solution to it. Thanks in advance.
