I also saw a post about IFaith, as I understood it, I can bypass the SSH's with that tool and use the unsigned firmwares (5.0.1 - since apple has long stopped signing it). Would you know a thing about it?

Yes that will be with a tethered jailbreak. Cost of the IMEI not sure i just messaged him and will tell him about this post. You do have AT&T correct?

I understand. I suppose once updated to 6.0.1 I should start saving my SSH before jailbreaking again right?

Ya something to always do is save them. Ya never know what's gonna happen. Got em all on my 3GS this phone here is my 5 have all of 6.0 saved on here.
Haven't had a response yet from cowboy when he responds ill let ya know how much it is.

I just got my ip5 and somehow it has 6.0 on it still. What software is the best for backing up the blobs and ticker (ap tickets on ip5's too?).

And I missed the boat on 6.0.1 so should I upgrade to 6.0.2 to be ready for the hopefully upcoming untethered jb? Is there a program (tinyumbrella/redsnow) that can backup 6.0.2 yet?

I don't experience any of the problems I've read of on other ip5's such as wifi connection issues or battery draining issues (though using 4G feels like your battery is being sucked physically from your phone).

Thanks for your help, I'm pretty good at modding, but I update firewares so infrequently I'm only a bit informed on it.

tiny umbrella hasnt been updated for 6.0.2 shsh saving yet. But redsnow 0.9.15b3 can.

I have a 3GS with iOS 6.0.1 on it. If I save my SHSH's with tiny umbrella I have amongst others 4.1, 4.3.5 and 5.0.1. I have downloaded these ipsw files and have tried to downgrade to these iOS's without any success. I either get errors 11 or 20. What I am doing wrong?
