Question about My3g on Cydia

Hey quick question I was watching youtube videos to see how My3g works. Is it ONLY for people who have the iphone 4? Or can someone call a friend using the new iphone 4 to someone with the regular iphone 3 or 3gs? Or is the my3g primarily to simply connect without using wi-fi on iphone 4 to iphone 4 ?

Anyone can USE My3G, but facetime will only function iPhone 4 to iPhone 4. My3G is an app used to unrestrict 3G usage (high quality youtube videos, removes app store download limits, allows skype calls, etc without the need for wifi)
