jailbreak "breaks" itunes app management?

I just jailbroke my 3GS/4.0.1 ...now in iTunes i can't drag my applications to install them or move them around. is this normal?

d@mn, i'm an idiot...the external drive i store my apps on isn't connected so obviously the sync won't work. sorry for the idiotic post

I am new to this as well but have noticed that if you install certain JB apps like inifindock or something that allows extra rows and columns, iTunes doesnt know what to do with it. I could still sync, but I couldnt move them around and see the preview which is expected.
